Peltate Earrings (Gold) – Nervous System

Description

The Peltate Earrings by Nervous System are bold circular pendant earrings made of 24K gold plated stainless steel that feature a pattern whose inspiration is a lily pad s and ginkgos.

The name “peltate” refers a leaf where the stem attaches at the center of the blade rather than the edge, generating a radially configured venation network. The pattern itself resolves as a dichotomous one where veins fork repeatedly producing a tree-like structure defined by Y shaped nodes.

Nervous System created the specific pattern was grown in a computer simulation of leaf venation. The pattern then was etched from a sheet of stainless steel. The Peltate Earrings are available in two versions according to the finishing: Steel (unfinished) and 24K gold plated.
